Discover the interesting life cycles of fish, birds, crabs, clams as well as other animals that call the salt marsh home. Learn how to catch, handle and prepare delicacies of the estuaries such as soft & hard shelled crabs, clams, oysters and fish. Class activities include: boating, constructing a crab pot, making fishing lures, learning to tie knots, seining, bird watching and eeling. This adventure takes students off the beaten path into hands-on discovery. Old clothes and sneakers are a must! Dress for getting wet and muddy.
