Description:
Twisted-stitch knitting can be used to create a wide variety of beautiful patterns in your knitting projects. This style of knitting developed in the 18th century in Bavaria and northern Austria. Stitches can be twisted to the right or left and manipulated to create decorative ridges throughout a knitted fabric. They are especially useful for creating faux cable knits without the use of a cable needle. Class projects to choose from include hats, mitts/mittens, and cowls, but this technique can also be used in sweaters, shawls, socks and more. Upon registration, the pattern/supply list for this course will be emailed to the student.
